Boyfriend's Super Fly Day!

Since I had a great 21st birthday last year ( sipping on wine at Sky Bar etc) I decided to do something great for my boyfriend this year.

I try to be as brief as possible when it comes to  friends/family/boyfriend because I haven't went out to get permission from everyone if it's okay to blog about them. I would like to know if someone would be blogging stuff about me.  Don't want to put too much pictures as well, if you notice I hardly put any other besides my travels, food etc. Maybe a photo of me and some people occasionally.

So I decided to give my boyfriend this for his birthday.

Oh yeah, a hummer limousine. Well I wished, no I just rented it and threw him a surprise birthday bash because party would not be suitable. So, I planned this surprise two months in advanced and everyone was in it to keep it a secret/surprise for him. There were a few moments where all of us got pretty suspicious but we managed to pull it off at the end. I was so nervous while waiting for the limo to arrive outside my house at the same time had to distract so he would not look out the window. I'm glad that we finally surprised him, it's hard keeping something so big from someone you share everything with.

At the end of the everything. 2.30 a.m, mostly tired and a little drunk. Thanks everyone for helping me pull this off!

Moet champagne because it's only $30? Malaysians are so rich spending RM300-RM350 on cheap champagne. tsk.

Super neat and comfy limousine. Everyone had champagne glasses and personal ice buckets behind our seats. Felt like celebrities!

Pretty crowded in there but fun! It's like our mini private party.

Happy Birthday Dear! Hope to spend many more birthdays with you.

Ultra Music Festival 2012

Ultra Music Festival a.k.a UMF is one of the biggest dance music festival events in The U.S and before I came here I always wanted to go for raves and music festival because I never actually been to one. I'm happy that I manage to get tickets to UMF, it's ridiculous because tickets so out so fast. The event is the end of March, we bought the tickets in December last year. Finding hotel was a pain, biggest pain upon planning the entire trip. The initial plan was to stay near by the event but everything was fully booked, even Miami beach which was 15 minutes away was also almost fully booked. We managed to get a hotel like I mention in my previous post right across Miami beach on Ocean Drive.

The festival was wild and we went all out. Bottled water was $5 and beer was $7, tip if you want to get cheap drinks buy it when there is a lot of people buying. The poor guy that was selling to us gave us extra change. Food was expensive as well. There were around 200 thousand people present for the festival, imagine that. Girls were crazy without bikini tops or bra, just nipple stickers with colorful wings and all sorts of crazy and skank-y outfits.

Manages to listen to so many DJs sets, which was the reason why I was so excited about going in the first place. Highlight of the 3-day-event was able to "meet" / see Madonna live on stage. Although she didn't sing but the DJ did spin her new single, it was a real treat and I was a bit star struck. *don't laugh*. We thought we were be so tired that we could not attend all 3 days but we were wrong! 3 days just went by like that, super fun!

Duck Sauce set. Spot the duck.

Crowd in the evening.

Another stage. With shade! It was too hot out in the afternoon.

We also brought towels and just lay at the grass/sand while enjoying the music in the afternoon because it was too early to be dancing in the crowd. Had to preserve our energy.

Boyfriend/crazy rave partner =)

ASOT550 live. I felt kinda proud because my friends back home in Malaysia were listening to it live, and I was there to experience it live. Truly a great experience.

The lights at night were madness. Especially Tiesto's set. A few times I felt the lights were so overwhelming like I was in some sort of trance.

Was planning to go EDC- Electro Daisy Carnival in June, but the line up seem a bit disappointing and the same. UMF was defiantly one of the highlights of my year and it's only April. Planning to go on a relaxing vacation like some spa vacation full of pampering this summer. Maybe visit museums, I've been talking about going to museums for such a long time hopefully I get to do it this summer. 2 more weeks then I will be starting my 3 and a half months break. I wonder what I'm going to do, or where we are going to go.

Spring Break, Miami FL

To be honest, we did not explore Miami much because we only had 4 days there and 3 days were at Ultra Music Festival 2012. Firstly the weather there was so good, I didn't want to leave that place. Miami is indeed a party city, even saw two cops grooving in their vehicle which made everyone laughed out loud. People are fit, tan and hot. It's like you can see 10 hot guys every few minutes. Ridiculous, girls there as well.

The hotel we stayed in was surprisingly pleasant. We stayed at The Penguin hotel, which is right across from Miami Beach great location to be staying at. We arrive at 11 am, after our ridiculously late 3pm check in we all went to the beach. Everyone wasn't in beach wear, so we went back to the hotel to change and bought some Heinekens so we could drink while sun bath. I almost doze off laying there, didn't get sun burn/tan but the sun was still nice.

Immediately went to change once we realize that we wanted to lay at the beach and chill with a few beers.

We had breakfast at our hotel everyday, everything was so good!

Cream cheese bagel, smoked salmon and fruit salad.

Bacon, sunny side ups and potatoes.

Egg benedict with toast.

Greek yogurt parfait.

Since we spend like 80% of our time there at the rave party, didn't really had much time to relax or enjoy the area much. Again, it's like literally a party town. Even the gas station plays dance/electro music. I would really want to go to Miami again but maybe next time to relax and just enjoy the place with good company and love ones.

New York, New York !

First time in NYC! Had an awesome experience exploring the big apple. Did not do much touristy stuff because we were just there to relax before Ultra Music Festival 2012 in Miami. We stayed at bf's friend's place which help us save some money which we used to mostly on food.

Besides dodgy subways and the crazy traffic, it's pretty nice. After all I've always loved the cities. New york is great, it's so much more diverse compared to the midwest. Had so much to see, the buildings and people. Not to forget the shopping, everything is just huge and awesome. Even Mcds seem happening with awesome house music and setting ( forgot to took photo just went to Mcd to pee.wtf)

5 days in New York was well spend. Will go back soon for museums.

Spring glooms.

I'm not sure if I caught pollen but I've been sick for one whole week now. Maybe is exhaustion from Miami or the drastic weather change. Lucky for me, got a good bunch of Malaysian friends who generously gave us their panadol because ibuprofen doesn't work. WTF. and going to the doctors will end up around $200 ++.

Had a good 12 hour sleep last night. Gonna try to do a bit of Spring cleaning and it's like 3c today. I've been cursing the weather ever since I got back from Spring break. I don't mind if the weather sucks but the FOOD omg even my dog can cook better. It's settled we are going to move to New York or LA after both  me and the boyfriend graduate. Even one of my Malaysian friend said that we are like living in some secluded place, if something bad would ever happen even God won't know what happen.

I want to go back to Miami, where people speak Spanish and you don't have to act polite to everyone.

More updates on my Spring Break once I fully recover.
